In-Home Support Services for daily living assistance needs
In-Home Support services are residential services that take place in an individual’s home, family home, or community setting and typically supplements the primary care provided by the family or another unpaid caregiver. Services are designed to ensure health, safety, and welfare of the individual.
Destined Beginnings offers these services through Family and Individual Support Waivers and Community Living Waivers. In-home support activities are personalized for each individual. These activities include training in engagement and interaction with functional skills, appropriate behavior related to an individual’s health and safety, personal care, activities of daily living, and use of community resources. Staff can also provide assistance with medication management, monitoring the individual’s health, nutrition, and physical condition.

These services could be helpful for someone who is a full-time caregiver who could use the additional assistance throughout the day with helping their loved one. The Direct Support Professional would be available to provide verbal prompting, hand-over-hand demonstration, etc., to help the individual with tasks such as cleaning, cooking and any other tasks.
